HOMELESS ANIMALS SEEK FAMILIES TO “TAKE US HOME FOR THE HOLIDAYS”
Butte Humane Society’s Annual Adoption Campaign Kicks off December 1
(CHICO, CA) — This December, Butte Humane Society is asking the community to help its homeless animals find loving homes for the holidays. The annual “Take Us Home for the Holidays” adoption campaign aims to have every animal available on December 1 adopted into a new home by
December 31.
A photo portrait of every animal featured in the campaign will be posted in Butte Humane Society’s adoption facilities. As each one is adopted, a festive bow is placed on their photo to celebrate the greatest gift of a new home. Each new family will also receive a gift from the Butte Humane Society Low-Cost Spay & Neuter Clinic. Adopters will draw at random from a variety of coupons including 10% to 50% off clinic services, a free engraved name tag, or a free dose of Advantage flea prevention.
Adoptable animals will be featured throughout the month on local TV and radio stations, including a live TV broadcast on KHSL & KNVN’s Wake Up! morning news program on Monday, December 3.
Dogs are located at 2579 Fair St., and cats and small animals are at 587 Country Drive. Adoption hours are 2pm-6pm daily with extended hours from 11am-6pm on Saturdays. Adoption gift certificates are also available, allowing you to give the gift of a new companion while ensuring the recipient is involved in the selection process.
“The holiday season is a time for family and togetherness – what better way to celebrate than by extending your family to a homeless animal? If you’re unable to adopt for yourself, you can still help homeless animals by encouraging your friends to consider adoption,” said Trent Burnham, Adoptions Manager at Butte Humane Society.
From the health benefits of pet ownership to the advantages of adopting from Butte Humane Society, there are many reasons why adopting from your local shelter is the best choice for finding a new pet.
