Linda began volunteering with Butte Humane Society in April of 2018. She has always had a love for animals, which is what first made her want to volunteer with BHS. Since that time she has become one of the most involved volunteers at Dog Adoptions. She has risen to taking on the responsibility of being a Level 2 Dog Volunteer and Mentor.
Linda has a way with our dogs that is unlike many. She is able to work with our most difficult dogs with relative ease. Every week, rain or shine, cold or heat, you can find her walking our dogs and allowing them to get the much needed love and exercise they deserve. She even dedicated her time as an intern with Dog Adoptions.
Linda has been an invaluable member of our team, especially this past year with Covid-19. Many volunteers were unable to come in, but she has been here every week. She has been flexible, compassionate, and a joy to work with.
More recently, Linda has started stepping in to train new volunteers at dogs for their Shadow Shifts. It was an easy decision to trust her with this based on our history with her. As we welcome new volunteers to our team, we know they are in great hands, and will have a fantastic start with her guidance.
Without volunteers like Linda, BHS would be unable to operate at the level we do. We are so incredibly grateful for her.
