Why did you get involved with volunteering at BHS?I didn’t know anything about shelter volunteers until I saw people talking about them online. This got me interested and so I signed up to find out.
What is your favorite part of volunteering at BHS?
My favorite part of volunteering at BHS is the staff and the animals. I especially like getting to know the dogs and training them to walk on a leash. I would also like to help the staff and volunteers have more fun walking the dogs instead of being pulled by the dogs.
Is there anything you have learned at BHS that you have carried into your personal experiences or shared with others?
The thing that I have carried with me is the fact that there is such a program and how easy it is to get started. I share this with people in hopes that they will also help out.
Do you have any animals of your own?
I have 3 cats and 1 dog at the moment. Two of my dogs have passed over the years so I’m looking to possibly adopt some more dogs to replace the two that have moved on.
