Meet Mya (originally named Flower) who has found her forever home!
I love her so much already.
I did change her name to Mya. Her personality has changed some. Of course, she is more comfortable with us now and it shows in her confidence. My daughter had a 10 year old pit mix, Pancakes. Mya and Pancakes were friends for a very short time. Two weeks after getting Mya, Pancakes died from bone cancer. A few days ago, my daughter adopted a 9 week old pit, Oliver. I babysit Oliver while my daughter and her husband are at work and Mya & Oliver became quick friends and never stop playing. All is going well.
There have been a few challenges. Mya was not potty trained, but she is now doing well with that. She is also quite wild. I feel that she did not get to learn how to be a puppy in a home environment. I know she was crate trained but I feel that she was in the crate more than she was out of it. Not anymore. She is only in the crate when I am gone and I only work part-time, 4 days per week. She is a very happy puppy and she loves everyone she meets. She brings much joy in our household. I am glad she is mine and she will have a fantastic life for the rest of her life.
The adoption process was excellent. Very informative, smooth and seamless. The adoption staff (Shelby) is the best. She is great at her job.
Thank you so much from both me and Mya!
