North Valley Animal Disaster Group (NVADG)
NVADG is heading up all search & rescue operations. All small animals found in affected areas are being sheltered at the Old Oroville Hospital, located at 2279 Del Oro Drive in Oroville. Large animals are being housed at the Butte County Fairgrounds, located at 199 E. Hazel Street in Gridley.

Chico Animal Shelter
Chico Animal Shelter has some animals that were evacuated due to the fire. Please visit www.chicoanimalshelter.org/stray-animals to see them!
Butte Humane Society
On December 19th, 27 cats were transferred from NVADG to BHS. You can view their photos here or on our Facebook page.

Many injured animals have been transferred to other shelters and veterinary offices (including BHS, Haven Humane, UC Davis, SF SPCA, etc.). To view the injured cats being cared for by BHS, please visit the Clinic Facebook page.
Butte Humane Society
Butte Humane Society is committed to providing long term aftercare to those who have been displaced by the fire.
The Butte Humane Society Veterinary Clinic is currently offering FREE microchips & core vaccines to anyone who has been affected. To schedule an appointment, call 530.343.7917 x 202 (proof of residency in Paradise, Maglia, Concow, or Pulga is required).
BHS has also opened up a Pet Food & Supply Pantry for evacuees and their pets. It is located at 1356 Longfellow Avenue in Chico, and it is open 7 days a week from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Holidays might affect these hours.

If you are looking for a temporary foster home for your pet while you get back on your feet, check out this Facebook group dedicated to finding fosters for pets! All fostering through this group is person-to-person, BHS is not involved in this process.
