Teams: (Teams are optional.) First, choose a team name and members. A team could be your family, a group of friends, coworkers, a classroom of students, a community group... anyone you want! All team members must register for the Furry Scurry in order for each person's donations to count toward the individual incentive gifts or the team total. If team members cannot afford the initial $20 registration, they can earn a free registration by bringing in $20 through Crowdrise (see below for more info.)

Crowdrise: This year, we've partnered with Crowdrise, a charity fundraising website where you can create a personalized page for yourself as well as a customizable team page.
Your Crowdrise page enables you to take online donations that count toward your fundraising goal. Crowdrise also has nifty tools for sharing your page with family, friends, and coworkers - and you can also record your in-hand cash and check donations so your overall fundraising total appears on the Furry Scurry leaderboards. To create an account: Go to Crowdrise.com/furryscurry and click the "Sign Up" link in the top left corner. Select a "Personal Account" and complete the required information. Click the "Sign Up" button and you will be taken to your new fundraising page, which you can personalize with photos and messages about why people should support your cause. Sign-up is free and takes about eight seconds! You can also connect your Crowdrise account with your Twitter account, if you like to "tweet".
To create a team: After you've signed up for Crowdrise, go to Crowdrise.com/furryscurry and click the black "Add a Team on Your Own" button on the lower right hand side. Once you've created your team, you'll have a team project page to personalize with photos and stories that tell why you support BHS and encourage others to do so. Then, use the "Share Project" and "Invite Team Members" buttons to build your team, spread your message and raise even more donations for the animals!
Anyone can join your Crowdrise team and raise money for the animals, even if they do not plan to attend Furry Scurry. BUT, if you want to receive your incentive gifts or participate in the Walk, you MUST register with BHS! We understand that not everyone has $20 for initial registration. That's why, if you sign up on Crowdrise and bring in at least $20 in donations, you will be emailed a link for free Furry Scurry registration!
All donations through Crowdrise are tax-deductible and go directly to BHS.
