Dog Obedience Class: Level 1
Did you know dog owners who invest in training courses are much more likely to develop a more positive experience with their pet? Our Basic Obedience course is designed to teach positive reinforcement techniques, which will perpetuate your dog's desire to learn.
Class Schedules:
Tuesday, April 16 - May 21
Sundays, April 14 - May 19
This class is limited to 7 human/dog teams (1 dog per person).
What your dog will learn:
- Sit, stay & down
- Name recognition and recall - "Come"
- Loose leash walking - "Who's walking who?"
- "Leave it"
We will also discuss the importance of physical and mental exercise for your dog including how to use toys and games!
Prerequisites:
Dogs must be at least 4 months old and have the following vaccinations:
- DA2PPL (Distemper, Adenovirus, Parainfluenza, Parvo & Leptospirosis)
- Bordetella
- Rabies

Class Fee:
$75 BHS alumni (animal adopted from BHS)
$85 General public
Class Time and Duration:
Each Sunday for 6 consecutive weeks starting at 11:45 am or each Tuesday for 6 consecutive weeks starting at 6:30 pm. The first class will be two hours long, and each additional class will be an hour long.
