The City of Chico Animal Services takes animals found or surrendered within the Chico city limits. Healthy stray cats are not accepted by City of Chico Animal Services.
Animals found outside of the City of Chico limits need to be brought to or picked up by Northwest SPCA in Oroville - the County Shelter.

Location Information
Both the City of Chico Animal Services and Chico Animal Control are located at 2579 Fair Street in Chico.
Butte County Animal Control provides field services for unincorporated areas of the county, as well as the City of Oroville and the Town of Paradise.
If you are reporting animal neglect or cruelty in a location other than Chico, please contact your local animal control.
